BISHOP STREET FUND-RAISING
You may be interested in three on-line ways you can help us raise funds for the Chapel development:-
Everyclick
This is a new online fundraising idea for us. Everyclick run a search engine, and donates 50% of its revenue to charities. The revenue comes from adverts etc, and the charities are selected by the people doing the searching .... potentially you. By selecting Bishop Street Methodist Church as your recipient charity, we will gain a tiny bit of cash each time you do a seach, and if enough people do this, we could get quite a bit of cash. For a one-off search you can use http://www.everyclick.com/bishopstreetmethodistchurch/CT7243. If you are prepared to register with them (which is free), you could install everyclick as the Explorer default searchbar. And if you can persuade family, friends and colleagues to do likewise, it could start to mount up to something substantial. To register, go to www.everyclick.com, search their charities for Bishop Street Methodist Church, and click Go to fundraise for this charity now. This will both allow you to register, and set Bishop Street as your default recipient.
SHOPPING ON-LINE: www.buy.at/thechapel
buy.at/ is a webshop that gives access to a huge range of retailers including M&S, John Lewis, HMV, Waterstones, Staples and hundreds of others. If you reach these websites through our webshop at www.buy.at/thechapel you will pay no more than if you went direct to their website, but Bishop Street will earn a small percentage of what you spend. (Your computer needs to be set to ‘allow cookies’ – most PCs are – so that the sites can keep track of your purchases).
If you – or people you know – are shopping on-line regularly, please consider using www.buy.at/thechapel.
EBAY FOR CHARITY
We are now registered with Ebay for charitable purposes. This means if you are selling an item on Ebay you could choose to donate a proportion of your sale (anything from 10% to 100%) to Bishop Street Methodist Church. The mechanics of this are all handled by MissionFish, and as a seller you would also need to register with them, but this is a free, straightforward process. If you would like more information, or are interested in learning more about Ebay selling please contact Robin at office@bishopstreetchurch.org.uk. If you would be interested in receiving saleable items to sell on our behalf we would be especially pleased to hear from you. If you don’t wish to do the ebay selling yourself, but wish to donate postable items that might sell for £2 or more, please pass them on to the Church Stewards or drop them in at the Church Office.
You can see the (very small at present) range of items currently for sale that benefit the church at http://www.missionfish.org.uk/NPMMF/nphomepage.jsp?NP_ID=1885 0
