Memorial Plaques

War memorials now at Bishop Street Methodist Church.

Those connected with Bishop Street Methodist Church, who were killed in the 1914-1918 war, are memorialised on a dark brass plaque in the church. In addition, there are three memorial plaques from sister churches, which were moved here when their buildings closed.

We thank Graham Morgan for cleaning up the memorial to those from Bishop Street, in readiness for our Heritage Exhibition on Oct 24th 2009. the difference can be seen from the before and after photos below.

Alison Skinner has been working on biographical detals of the individuals on this plaque, and we hope to include some of that material on the website in the near future.

The plaques contain the following information:-
