Bishop Street Methodist Church is part of the Leicester Trinity Methodist Circuit. This is a group of 15 Methodist churches on the south, east and centre of Leicester. The Circuit is part of the Northampton District, stretching from Leicestershire to Oxfordshire, and from Rugby to Peterborough.
We are part of the Methodist Church of Great Britain and Ireland. See www.methodist.org.uk/momentum for news. If you are looking for service resources for use in your services - or have your own material that you are willing to share - have a look at www.twelvebaskets.co.uk
Our central location makes it both possible and extremely useful that members of Methodist Churches across Leicester and beyond, along with people from all sorts of other local churches also contribute to our activities. We are very grateful for all the help we receive. Our ‘Methodists in the Centre’ page acknowledges some of these individuals that make such a difference to our church life.
We are also part of the Churches Together in Leicester City Centre: 14 Churches from seven different denominations, covering the area in and around Leicester’s inner ring road, covenanted to work together in a spirit of mutual support and co-operation.
We have links with the Fountainhead Community, an ecumenical group and Methodist District Project, committed to meeting for prayer to reflect on the concerns of Leicester city centre.
A number of our Church members are also members of the Leicester branch of the Methodist Church in Zimbabwe Fellowship (MCZF).
