Sunday Morning Worship is at 10.45 am each week, and is led by our minister, other serving or retired ministers in the area, and by local preachers from our church and circuit. All Are Welcome.
Once a month our Sunday Service includes Holy Communion, and the invitation to come forward for that is extended to all who wish to do so.
Services generally last around one hour. We have a strong and enthusiastic hymn-singing tradition, and actively promote the congregation to participate in Bible readings and prayers. We are a diverse congregation, with a very international flavour. Most Sundays we range from people who have been Bishop Street members for 70 years, through to people recently arrived in Leicester, from a dozen countries in four continents.
For details of services over the next few weeks see our Church Notices
Children of all ages are welcome to our services. We have a sunday school during the middle part of our services, which the Children go out to. This includes stories, singing and craft activities and a creche, and we are happy to adapt our activities to whatever ages come along. We also have a number of teenagers, who take part in various activities, sometimes on Sundays, and also at other events.
A short service with prayers, readings and reflections, and occasionally songs, is held at 1.00pm each Monday and Wednesday. Midweek Communion is held on the first Wednesday of each month.
These services offer a 30 minute time of worship and reflection for those wishing to take a break from work, shopping, or other city centre activities.
