Rooms

We have a range of rooms available to hire for charitable, community and commercial purposes. These provide a central meeting point, and are widely used by the Leicester city centre community.

Within the church building we have a variety of different rooms:-

Church Cafe area

With views out onto Bishop Street and Town Hall Square as well as spectacular internal views into the main church, this is the most visible room. Our new ramped access and re-fitted servery and cafe space was opened in 2012 as a fully-functioning daytime cafe. It is also be available for evening speaker style meetings, or cafe style tables and chairs to seat 30. This has use of the servery for making hot drinks.

The Church

With ramped access through our main entrance to the cafe area, this is a large and spectacular chapel interior, with flexibility for both gatherings and concerts, and exhibitions, sales and charity fairs. The central bank of fixed pews seats up to 80 people, but with additional movable pews and further seating in the side under-galleries, it would be possible to seat 150 or more. Used as a whole or in part it is ideal for concerts and large gatherings. There is further seating in the gallery, although with limited views to floor level. (It is designed to see the pulpit rostrum). Total seating including the church and gallery is around 500. For exhibition use we have 7 large display units, of various sizes and configurations, which along with our LED track lighting can enable exhibitions and displays in all sorts of ways.

Barrett Room

The largest of the rooms at the back of the church, this is accessed via the side entrance. It can seat 40 for speaker- style meetings, or there are options for sitting around tables, etc. The accessible toilet is close by. With a large south-facing rooflight, and gas heating, this is a warm, well lit room, and is extensively used for regular bookings.

Brandon Room and Lewis Room

These are upstairs rooms, accessed via the side entrance and rear staircase. Both rooms can seat around 40/15 respectively people, sitting around tables. We also have individual exam-style tables to provide a classroom/exam setting.

Little Vestry

This is a small ground-floor room with padded chairs, suitable for small informal meetings. It seats a maximum of 4. It is close to the accessible toilet.
